Japan 2007

One of the largest collection of photos I have is the set from July 2007, when I chaperoned a trip to Japan with the CIAI group. This was an annual exchange trip from Celina, Ohio, USA to Minamiawaji, Hyogo, Japan. This was the second time I went to Kyoto and Minamiawaji, but the first time to Hiroshima and Nara. We were in Japan for 10 days and the Mawarikado Family was amazing. I also got to see my friend Norihisa Sakamoto and his family. I stayed with Norihisa's Father and Mother the first time I stayed in Minamiawaji.

I shot like 650 images on my second trip, and I wish I would have taken more. Japan is the most beautiful place I've ever been, and I'm still fascinated by it's history, art, architecture, and most of all, by it's people. I know my friends there are safe from the recent Earthquakes and Tsunamies, and I pray they stay safe. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the 2007 trip.

As always, the full set can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/travispedroza/ in the set CIAI Japan Trip 2007. Thanks for visiting!

Hello Blogger...

Recently I decided to get rid of my old website TravisPedroza.com and move here to Blogger. I've attempted a few blogs on this site before, but with little content, it didn't last very long. TravisPedroza.com was shaping up to be a nice site, but it was probably a bit too complex for what I need right now. I'm sure in a few years I'll go back and rebuild the site, brand new, but for now I'm looking forward to this one. My goal here is to share some of my favorite work, whether it be mine, or someone I admire. If you're interested, you will always be able to find my "Professional" portfolio at http://www.flickr.com/photos/travispedrozaportfolio/ and my personal portfolio at http://www.flickr.com/photos/travispedroza/. My personal portfolio has a LOT of shots, which makes this site useful in that I will attempt to post my favorite here.

Thanks for visiting!
